Time and tide Waits for none...

Since a few months our world has changed more ways than we can count. Unpremeditated we have passed six months of this year as holiday. Just before this pandemic we all wanted some sort of vacation from our day to day lives and now we're living our lives indoors.
So much for vacation * sighs heavily *!!!
Ohh! by the way, this is HarshUp, just a couple of friends who love to spit facts about things occurring in everybody's life but are somehow negligent to them.
A while ago, my Best friend got shifted to another state. It was very hard for me. Imagine dealing with your day to day life, without your best friend by your side. Well long story short, we didn't have the opportunity to even meet before he left. Yeah, that's right, we didn't have the "TIME" to even meet for like 5 minutes.
All my life, I have heard people saying, “time and tide Waits for none”. But I never believed it.
All my life, I thought asking people for their time is the least I can ever ask for. But how wrong I have been.
People never cherish what they have when they have it, they always crave for more. A little of something they think is in their reach, but in reality it isn't; unattainable thing, which they think is attainable. They never really realize that what they're asking is least for them but from whom they're asking may not be the least. They may think it's so little to ask for but they don't see the real effort that is being put behind that so little thing that they're asking for.
Time. What is time? Just a ticking variable letting you know your daily existence. We have 24 hours in a day to utilize for ourselves and for others. How much do we really spend it behind others rather than ourselves? We don't even realize how selfish we are. We might be with a lot of people but are we really there for those people or are we really there to pass our time for ourselves? Do we really cherish the time when we are surrounded by people? It's really easy to say that we do. But in reality we don't even remember what we did at the end of the day.
We are all stuck in our daily routine, daily schedule, daily hustle, but how much do we really cherish the time we spend with our friends, family, partner, colleagues, people in general? We don't even realize what we're lacking or losing until that person walks out of our lives. Until that person just leaves, leaving that hollow inside yourself and ruptures your whole routine. Until you realize how little time you actually had to spend with that person. How little you had to give that person? How little you actually had of that person?
As the person leaves, leaving a deep aching hollow inside you, do you cherish the moments you had with the person? Suddenly you wish you had a little more time with you. A little more of that unattainable thing which was once in your hands grasp but never valued by you. A little of that least time you could have asked for. A little of this, a little of that. But never really achieving it. Never really believed that it was a little too late to realize or cherish the moments. Never really had, had believed that asking people for their time is like asking the most precious thing from them. Never really cherished the part where they actually have given you their time. Never really believed that time may not wait for you. Never really believed that, “Time and tide Waits for none."
